Zsolt Asztalos: Reproduction – photo series
We make reproductions of works of art that are considered important so that we can documentate them, enter them into a system and forward them to as many people as possible. Photographing a work of art more or less forwards its artistic value without us seeing the actual object. When taking the photo, the work still is transformed into a different medium, in the hands of a different author. The artistic message of the work goes on a special journey via media and authors.Johan Nieuwenhuize: IMG_
Johan Nieuwenhuize`s new project (IMG_) is an ever-growing collection of abstract and semi-abstract photographical observations. Its theme is centred around the structures of the city, buildings, cars and reflections.

Music by Michel Banabila
CROPS is an animated film about the so-called central rotating tap irrigation. In the United States that type is widely used. These plantations forming a circle perfectly fit in with a grid defined by the authority (Public Land Survey System). One square mile of land is 640 hectares. Long spraying arms move around the central rotating tap, irrigating green plantations on arid or semi-arid land. CROPS contains ca. 1000 Google Earth images edited in Photoshop, most of them shot in New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.
Fixing traces of human existence. The tenants have just moved out with all of their personal belongings. Only empty, colourful spaces have been left behind, with small signs and graffiti`s.
Gábor Kerekes: The last night
The artist`s work follows pace of life and its changes. `I need to travel so that I can accomplish my mission. I follow works of art, and I often spend the night with them. It sometimes occurs that for some that is the last night before they are terminated.`
