An avid photographer is happy to shoot almost any subject, though the most interesting subject is still the human being. To capture someone’s personality, to tell their story in a picture: there is no task more exciting. That’s a bit like stealing your model’s soul—in a good way. And you do that with such passion and humility that ultimately your subject will feel they were happy to open their soul to you. My exhibition at FISE Gallery features portraits of friends, acquaintances, or people I met in the street, taken over many years.
