In his latest series, József Hajdú explores the life of projectiles and the impact they make, with distinctive object photography made in a special location, and with a medium that serves as a universal symbol of cultural transmission and now acts as the support of the artwork (that suffers the damage)—the book. Besides photos of the projectile-artworks, the series comprises images of the sensuous surfaces formed by the projectiles passing through the books. The extreme close-ups turn the damaged sheets of paper into landscapes, wounded by the extremely sensuous interventions. With this gesture, the physically and spiritually understood micro- and macro-worlds come together.
