The aim of the exhibition is to create a temporary situation, which can be partly shaped by the visitor, based on visual impressions of the rural environment. Camouflage, as a spatial installation, reflects a transitory state, in which contingency plays an important part. Bricks, gravel, construction debris, the components of the mix-up of rural yards fuse in the ever-degrading and re-emerging scene of architecture and memory. Subjective perspectives mix with what is considered objective, the inevitable presence of materiality. Lilla Váczi’s photographs and video works can be interpreted together with the diverse materials placed in the exhibition space, which create a characteristic effect with their own nature and view, something visitors can connect with, first and foremost, via experiences of perception and emotion.
