For many years, the Debrecen Photography Club has collaborated rewardingly with the Méliusz Juhász Péter Library: it is now a tradition that the Debrecen Days of Literature get under way with the exhibition of the Club. The Club stages this year’s display, Visual Thoughts, at the Méliusz Library’s newly renovated Borsos Villa. Since time immemorial, artists have attempted to formulate their ideas in images or words to make them visible, understandable for their fellow humans. It is difficult, in many ways, to carry on with these ideas.

The images on view comprise illustrations. Our members – renowned photographers István Tamás Kocsis, Tamás Horváth, István Süli and András Máthé, as well as committed amateurs – have created visual thoughts for literary works or designed book covers that bring the writings closer to the readers.
